Washer or washer-dryer: how much capacity does your home need?
Capacity figures describe the weight of laundry a machine handles in one cycle, not the size of the drum. Compare the wash and dry figures separately, then check the space and services around the machine before deciding.
Start with a normal week of laundry
Count the loads your household actually washes in a week, including bedding and towels, rather than guessing from the number of people. A machine rated at 10 kg and one rated at 12 kg differ per cycle, but the right choice also depends on how often you wash and how much you dry indoors.
Read wash and dry capacity separately
The recorded specifications list CWD10-ST01 as a 10 kg washer with a 6 kg drying capacity, CWD12-ST01 as 12 kg washing with 9 kg drying, and CFW12-ST01 as a 12 kg front-load washer with no drying capacity. A washer-dryer therefore dries a smaller load than it washes; plan to split loads when you dry.
Decide whether you need drying at all
A washer-only model such as CFW12-ST01 keeps the full drum for washing. A washer-dryer adds a drying cycle but carries its own drying power rating and shorter dry load. If you usually air-dry, the simpler machine may suit you; if you rely on indoor drying, the combined unit removes that step for part of the laundry.
Measure the space before the model
The recorded dimensions are 595 × 620 × 850 mm for CWD10-ST01, 600 × 618 × 850 mm for CWD12-ST01 and 595 × 650 × 850 mm for CFW12-ST01, all in width × depth × height. Leave room for the door swing, hoses and ventilation, and confirm the position with our team rather than assuming a standard gap.
Think about water, power and drainage
The specifications list a 220–240 V supply and a water pressure range of 0.05–0.8 MPa for the 12 kg models. These are operating requirements, not a promise that every home is ready for installation. A short site check avoids surprises on delivery day.
